Yes, that\u2019s right. If you\u2019re a Facebook user; and let&#8217;s face it you probably are \u2013 according to recent statistics, you\u2019ll be using it regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So regularly that it\u2019s likely you\u2019ll be spending<em> at least 20 minutes daily<\/em> on the social media site connecting or sharing with (an average of) 250 friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the hugely popular social media giant continues to expand year on year, with no immediate signs of a slowdown in user demand or growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To give you a better understanding of Facebook&#8217;s continued popularity and its remarkable trajectory from 2004 dorm room dream to a US$250 billion publicly traded company here\u2019s a 2016 overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facebook At A Glance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Of Facebooks\u2019 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/investor.fb.com\/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=940609\" target=\"_blank\">1.5 billion registered users<\/a>, \u00a0there are more than 1 billion daily active users. \u00a0Targeting these users are more than 2.5 million active <a href=\"\/?page_id=27374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Facebook advertisers<\/a> &#8211; perhaps you are one of them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although college students were the original members of the platform, millennials ( 15-34 years old ) are now the largest Facebook user group.
