Here at Pure SEO we believe it’s important to contribute and give back to the community. We took part in the Oxfam Trailwalker 2016 Challenge, whereby a team of four colleagues trekked 100km of the Whakatāne trail in less than 36 hours – all for an important charity.
What has been the reward for this? Raising over $2,500 for Oxfam New Zealand in the global battle against poverty.
Pure SEO held fundraising events and activities to raise a minimum of $2,500 towards this great charity, which begun with a fundraiser at our Auckland office Thursday 17th March from 6.00 – 9.00pm. Our generous clients, wonderful business friends and people from across Auckland have donated prizes and experiences valued at thousands of dollars in our bid to help fight poverty with Oxfam.
More than 50 guests joined us at our fundraiser with a pub quiz ( $5per person ), a silent auction and an opportunity to win some amazing prizes at just a fraction of their retail value!
Hosted by award winning NZ comedian Pax Assadi along with a great DJ, platters and bar, guests and staff joined us Thursday 17th March at Pure SEO: 1 Beaumont St, Freemans Bay, Auckland.

All the profits went to a great charity – Oxfam.
Oxfam Trailwalker began in 2006 in New Zealand. Since then over 10,000 participants have lined up at the start line and raised over $8.3 million. Thousands of people take part each year, and Pure SEO will be participating with a team of four walkers, all of our staff from the Pure SEO crew as support and YOU!
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we couldn’t do it without you. Our Oxfam Trailwalker Fundraiser pub quiz was a great success, with a battle of the wits between more than 10 teams and a silent auction successfully raising more than $1,500 (after costs) which is now included in our donations of over $2,500, to fight poverty.
Our PureSEO crew of 4 trail walkers together with their support team of Anthony, Janet and Kadie took on the 100km Whakatane trail walk during the weekend of April 2-3.
At 7.00am on April 02, the PureSEO Oxfam TrailWalker Team of Koshy Mathew, Laura Holding, Ankit Patel & Inna Ovodkova began their walk with another 180 teams.
The team completed their journey, trekking through the Whakatāne trail day and night, in very difficult weather conditions. Due to the heavy & persistent rain, more walkers dropped out and more teams did not complete than in any of the previous 10 New Zealand Oxfam trail walker events.
Although it was more challenging than expected, the PureSEO Oxfam TrailWalker Team were finally placed 89th in just under 30 hours (29:40:17). Congratulations!
Team PureSEO together with all of our generous contributors have earned more than $2500 fundraising to help improve and save lives.
Thank you everyone.
